About the role: 

This position is responsible for delivery of Commercial eLearning Program across Boston Scientific. Role will support the design and development of Learning Management System. Role will be involved in all business assessments for the different Medical Education, field sales and human resources functions across the globe. Role is responsible for ensuring teams abide by the necessary standards and processes within the company while developing software through Agile values and principles.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Sales Training Managers, Medical Education Managers, I.T. architects and Commercial Technologies/Commercial I.T. leadership on various strategic projects and new product launches
  • Manage global communications strategy for all functions operating on Learning Management System (SuccessFactors/Cornerstone/Adobe Captivate)
  • Support individual divisions/geographies roadmaps on the platform and partner necessary I.T., vendor and training resources to help the business execute roadmap strategy
  • Assist with troubleshooting LMS system, integrations between LMS and other systems (Salesforce, SuccessFactors)
  • Assist with troubleshooting of training content leveraging a variety of tools (Articulate, Captivate 2019, Brainshark, Publisher, etc)
  • Establish and lead a global community-of-practice among LMS administrators and instructional designers across the different divisions/functions
  • Conduct voice-of-customer sessions to collect and address feedback on program improvements, new technologies requiring research, enhancements to the vendor product and escalations of urgent open issues
  • Works with vendor to analyze platform adoption, support trends and upcoming purchasing needs.
  • Facilitate and support Learning and Design processes and efforts required to meet Quality System, Compliance and Legal requirements
  • Assess and update program materials and design documentation to continuously improve the program
  • Recommend and instruct on best practices, common challenges and inter-related issues
  • Prepare, maintain, and keep updated IT procedures and documentation related to our processes and platforms operations.
  • Accountable for ensuring necessary validation and quality documentation is captured across the program

What we're looking for: 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of relevant IT Experience
  • 3+ years of analysis experience in large global implementations of Learning Management system (SuccessFactors/Cornerstone/Adobe Captivate).
  • 2+ years of technical experience in large global implementations of Learning Management system (SuccessFactors/Cornerstone/Adobe Captivate).
  • Experience partnering with Commercial and Medical Education business functions.
  • Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
  • Balanced business/technical background:
  • Proven technical experience to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive background with software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
  • Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne
  • Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
  • Examples of creative approaches to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, complex enterprise-level projects
  • Previous experience to work in a regulated environment
