About the role:
Great opportunity to join a fast-growing Franchise (Endobariatrics) within the Endoscopy division.
The Principal Financial Analyst plays a critical business partnering role in supporting the EB leadership team in developing & executing business strategy. He/she will act as the primary business partner regarding forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting & commercial and portfolio financial analysis for the Endoscopy Endobariatrics business and support the EB functions (Selling, Marketing, R&D, Sustaining, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, etc.).
This role will be based in Austin, TX and reports to the Global Endoscopy Finance Director, Endobariatrics and Accounting & Controls.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Partnering - Collaborate with the multi-functional business and franchise leaders to help manage and grow the Endobariatrics business and meet customer needs.
- Pro-actively highlight risks & opportunities for the business.
- Actively participate in and understand key decision-making processes of multi-functional business partners, including financial and broader business impacts.
- Provide subject matter expertise to influence decision making.
- Collaborate with regional and operations finance partners to develop full global Endobariatrics P&L understanding.
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting - Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast and month-end close processes to produce accurate, complete and timely financials for Endobariatrics.
- Manage the Endobariatrics U.S. P&L: propose action and recovery plans in case of sales shortfall. Drive productivity initiatives to improve the profitability of the Business unit.
- Responsibility over Sales/Margin, SG&A and R&D analysis as well as the consolidation of the global Endobariatrics P&L.
- Responsible for leading compliance with quarterly budgeting calender, guidelines and collaborating with Corporate Finance/Global Financial Operations to ensure understanding of key deliverables.
- Support regular and adhoc reporting and presentations to management
- Drive compliance in all finance related matters (Internal Audit, SOX, Statutory, monthly closing - as required). Ensures all financial activities are consistent and in line with company internal controls and US GAAP.
- Perform all aspects of the monthly financial close including generation of monthly and quarterly management reporting and variance/trend analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 7+ years of relevant FP&A experience
- Experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial tools (Hyperion (Oracle), SAP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Proven track record of business partnering and working closely with senior leaders
- Proven ability to think strategically and proactively address business risks and/or opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging within a multi-functional organization.
- Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Excellent technical skills (modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, SAP etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Team orientated
- Must have a process improvement mindset and strong problem-solving skills
