Purpose

 

  • This is a customer-oriented role, responsible for technical support to capital equipment within Boston Scientific portfolio. He/she is the subject matter expert in the products asssigned to him/her . He/she performs onsite support as required &/or remote technical support. He/ She is required to work in accordance to Boston Scientific Service Management policies, and compliance guidelines.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers on BSC's Capital Equipment and third party capital equipment distributed by BSC.
  • Perform service activities such as installation, preventative maintenance, field corrective action, recalibration and repair of BSC's Capital Equipment.
  • Plan and Report all service activities on BSC Global Service Management Systems (GSMS)
  • Provide support for sales team in promoting BSC capital equipment such as technical inputs for tenders, trade show support, clinical evaluation.
  • Collaborate with APAC & Global team for technical escalation and relevant global/APAC initiatives.
  • Supervise channel partner networks to perform service activities in accordance to BSC policies and disseminate best practice sharing to reach competency level requirement. 
  • Responsible for monitoring, organizing and maintaining spare parts inventory, and to ensure timely calibration of all Service meters and test equipment.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction on services performed on BSC capital equipment.
  • Promote BSC ExpertCare contract offering to customers
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific

Qualification and Experience 

  • Diploma/ Degree in biomedical, electronic, mechanical, electrical or related engineering field. 
  • 6 or more years working experience in field service of electronic & mechanical products. Experience with medical related devices, and electrophysiology-related equipment is an added advantage
  • Demonstrate ability to use various testing instruments and to interpret electrical schematic diagram.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Basic computer knowledge with MS Office and DICOM
  • Good communication skills, customer oriented, independent and self-motivated.
  • Willing to travel extensively

Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations.  Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.

Mentoring

Provides guidance to sales and functions about CETS function and workflows
