Purpose

 

Objective of this role is to support the Country & Divisional Manager and sales team in achieving the goals and objectives of the Country and/or Division they represent. The role will be supporting the countries by providing, automating and interpreting business critical scorecards, metrics, trackers and other reports.  Participates in the development and implementation of sales plan and forecasts.  Functions as a liaison between BUMs/sales managers and sales agents/reps to aid the achievement of customer satisfaction and business growth through focused business planning

 

Responsibilities

Business Partnership

  • Responsible for developing first-class relationships with sales and marketing organization; To develop, communicate and ensure the maintenance of the policies and procedures as required by the company and the local rules; Building a partnership approach with BUMs to service customers by recommending solutions to customer requests for special products or non-standard deliveries; in developing and maintaining established customer accounts; in identifying sales enhancement opportunities and in implementing any service improvement programs; Provide local market intelligence to BUM's for account targeting; Assist BUMs in planning, coordinating and implementing sales and marketing programs.
  • Adjusts team strategies and initiatives to suit evolving customer requirements and opportunities for improvement by applying strong business and market knowledge; Effectively presents and communicates core strategies; Conducts customer reviews and leads problem resolution for customers; Exhibits strong inter-personal skills in front of the customer.
  • Work directly with business and FP&A team in the reporting and analysis of financial and business information to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Provides support and financial advice to business on employee commissions plans.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
     
    Planning & Forecasting
  • Work directly with business and FP&A team for financial planning mechanism such as monthly sales estimates, quarterly forecasts, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process.
  • Provide financial support for annual longer-term strategic plan process.
      
    Reporting
  • Provide key daily/monthly/quarterly sales reports, including territory and customer performance
  • Analyze performance trends and provide commentaries on sales and margin
  • Investigate and report significant variances to ensure integrity of information and performance against plan and forecast. Work closely with management to form mitigation plans or action plans to achieve target.
     
    Project Excellence and Ad Hoc Initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement of business and financial processes, including standardization, automation and digitization of current reporting activities by leveraging technology such as RPA.
  • Drive profitability and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Provides on-going user assistance and support for system applications.
  • Conduct basic software and hardware training when needed.

 

Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in accounting.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, and business support required. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Has a proven track record of managing multiple tasks within a matrix working environment and simplifying that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes. Prior experience in leading cross functional or regional projects will be a plus.
  • Ability to establish strong business partnership. Influence and engage people in and outside of own organization to lead to success demonstrating excellent communication with employees of all levels.
  • Strong process, project and time management skills with the ability to organize and handle multiple priorities.

    Language & Skills:
  • Possess Advanced MS Excel skills including excel modeling capabilities and strong proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint. Experience in Tableau reporting will be preferred.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required; other language skills will be a plus
