PURPOSE STATEMENT

This position is responsible for planning, directing and leading the execution of the country’s business strategies and achievement of key performance indicators across multiple business units/functions. In addition to driving international and regional initiatives for the business in Thailand, the role involves monitoring and measuring performance against objectives. The individual is also expected to foster a high-performance culture by building, developing and retaining a high-performing team. This includes building the right capabilities within the team, ensuring succession planning and employee engagement, upskilling employees and driving leadership capabilities to meet current and future business needs

Purpose Statement 

Support execution of Human Capital Strategy via application of HR initiatives, tools and processes within client group(s). Partner with client group leaders to deliver human capital solutions aligned with department/function performance goals and business strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing HR guidance/support to client group(s) in most of the following areas: competency development, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
  • Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.
  • Provides guidance and direction to client group(s) to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of all employees, in collaboration with Center of Excellences, People Service, and HR Service Delivery.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, People Services, HR Service Delivery and other teams across the business to address and satisfy client group(s) requirements. Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making decisions related to human capital.
  • Presents and facilitates workforce development programs when required. Support communication on and utilization of performance management tools/processes and compensation & rewards programs.
  • Introduce, lead, and influence change management initiatives with client group leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization.
  • Define strategic project requirements, ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives, and directly contribute to key projects in a timely manner, within budget and meet high-quality standards.
  • Apply human capital analytics and insights to strengthen organizational culture, support talent strategies, and enable evidence-based decision-making across the business.
  • Conducts and manages investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications; assesses the severity, involves appropriate individuals, and facilitates appropriate action based on the HROTF model and policy.

Specific Responsibilities

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition COE on managing the headcount approval process, reviewing job descriptions, job levelling etc. and general oversight of the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Where required, prepare employment contract and any follow through pre-employment preparation, e.g. preparing of announcement notification, etc.
  • Onboarding for Growth Markets employees located in Thailand.

Talent Management

  • Partner with Talent Management COE in identifying talent and leadership gaps, develop and track execution of development plans, and retention, to build a sustainable talent base.

Performance Management

  • Lead the implementation of effective performance planning, management and feedback/communication processes.

Organization design and development

  • Lead the review of span and layers, work with management on organizational structure to build required capabilities and lead implementation/change management. 
  • Lead strategic workforce planning process for Growth Markets
  • Implement career paths and competency development work.

Learning & Development

  • Identify learning needs and work with L&D to deliver programs to close skills gaps; evaluate internal/external programs for specific functional needs.

Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement programs to foster a strong culture of engagement from employees. Implement culture change initiatives to support the company’s culture and business goals. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide insights into the pulse of the organization. 

Employment Policies

  • Ensure all employment and benefits policies of Thailand are current and updated.
  • If applicable, administer Growth Markets Recognition Programs, including managing the awards nomination and selection process, obtaining feedback from stakeholders and implementing improvements.

HR Information Systems / Policies

  • Thailand and client group employees - maintain accurate and up-to-date HR information on all HRIS and maintain up-to-date HR information in Personnel files (hardcopy or system).
  • Audit database accuracy for responsible client groups across Growth Markets.
  • Growth Markets HR Portal – ensure HR policies and procedures for Growth Markets are current and accessible, monitor effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Drive HR operational efficiency

  • Continuously strive to improve HR operations to increase efficiency in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Standardize and improve HR processes and the use of Technology
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for operations.
  • Interact effectively with external vendors of HR related services, if required
  • Maintains BSC ethical and compliance standards.

Management Reporting and Analytics

  • Generate accurate and timely attrition and HC reports on a regular basis.
  • Provide reports, data analysis, customized data/reports and analysis, and ad-hoc reports as requested.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 10-15 years of related experience, with relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability in a business partnering role.
  • A business and customer focused HR professional with strategic experience in partnering with leaders across the business and geographies in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.  Ability to engage, build and maintain trusting relationships with business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective business partner with the ability to lead HR activities across all areas and proven ability to influence change
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the business to attract and develop talent, employee engagement, organizational design and organizational effectiveness, change management, talent management etc.
  • Resilient, driven, independent and adaptable professional who can deliver high quality outcomes that are business impacting
  • Experience working in a dynamic, matrix, changing environment within an HR team
