Account Manager, Interventional Oncology - Selective Internal Radiotherapy (SIRT) - Cataluña

About the role:

The objective of this role is to support the Divisional Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the Peripheral Interventions – Interventional Oncology & Embolization division, managing the Therasphere – Selective Internal Radiotherapy (SIRT) solution. The Account Manager will focus on expanding the use and adoption of SIRT therapies (clinical, business and strategics areas), combining business development, clinical expertise and marketing strategy to develop SIRT therapy, expanding treatment indications and establishing a fluent and good relationship with tumor boards. The account manager will be responsible for the following regions: Cataluña, Aragón & Islas Baleares.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Reach the annual sales target for the mentioned region.
  • Establish regular interactions with the tumor boards of all relevant hospitals in the area.
  • Support Therasphere cases in the operating room on a weekly basis. The candidate will be trained in anatomy, dosimetry and liver cancer, so that he/she can be autonomous to support cases in the territory.
  • Develop as professional account manager by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques fundamentals. Able to tackle routine issues, knowledge in the medical device industry (Boston Scientific and competitors).
  • Development of the assigned commercial area together with the marketing, medical, clinical and other departments.
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under close supervision & guidance of the Manager.
  • Follow the instructions of manager in order to plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according to divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimizing available tools (consignment, etc).
  • Attend the different digital and in-person meetings required by the organization.
  • Work efficiently with Boston Scientific CRM and digitalization projects on a regular basis.
  • Establish & develop strong business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (regular basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
  • Upon request, may participate in local & EMEA team projects.

 

What are we looking for in you?

  • Health Sciences &/or engineer academic studies background.
  • At least 3 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales; and/or background in interventional oncology, embolization, ablation or Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) products.
  • Previous experience supporting procedures in Cath labs is highly appreciated.
  • Based in Barcelona.
  • Previous experience in multidisciplinary work in tumor boards.
  • Local Customers & market knowledge.
  • Experience preparing tenders & relationship with purchase centers and other hospital stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Motivation and positive attitude.
  • Availability for travel in area of responsibility and nationally when necessary.
  • Experience with digital tools will be highly appreciated.
