About the role:

We are looking for a motivated, collaborative and creative individual to join our high-performing Process Development team. You will be among the first new product development team members at the Boston Scientific, Belo Horizonte site and will have the opportunity to drive innovative technology solutions from concept to commercialization. You will be partnering globally and cross-functionally with a technically strong, experienced, and highly engaged team.  Your specific sphere of influence will be in structural heart advancing the state of Aortic Valve replacement therapies.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but will be not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining process documentation, including process flow charts, work instructions, risk assessments, and validation protocols/reports.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, to ensure alignment and integration of process requirements and specifications.
  • Supporting the transfer of new products or processes from development to production, ensuring robust and reliable manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.
  • Support to execute and analyze experiments using some of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Six Sigma methodologies, such as design of experiments (DOE), to optimize process parameters and reduce variability.
  • Utilizing statistical tools and software, such as Minitab, to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field of structural heart and aortic valve replacement therapies.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or relevant technical field
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvements. 
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations.
  • Demonstrated understanding with Process Verification and Validation.
  • Excels in a collaborative, cross-site environment. 
  • Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technical environment. 
  • Open to travel of up to 10% of their time.
