About the Role

The Sr. Business Intelligence Specialist – GTM & AI Analytics serves as the senior analytics and insights leader for Boston Scientific Mexico, with a primary mandate to enable Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy redesign through robust market, customer, and business insights.

The role is embedded within Corporate Marketing (Mexico) to ensure proximity to GTM decision-making, while operating above individual Business Units to deliver neutral, comparable, and scalable insights across the portfolio.

In the near term, the role focuses on GTM effectiveness, market segmentation, portfolio prioritization, and commercial performance insights. Over time, it evolves into a cross-functional transformation enabler, expanding into predictive analytics and AI-enabled decision support in partnership with Sales Operations, Finance, and Enterprise teams.

This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role combining hands-on analytics execution, strategic thinking, and executive-level business partnering.

Organizational Positioning

  • Solid reporting line: Corporate Marketing – Mexico (senior, country level)
  • Key partnerships (dotted line / operating alignment):
    • BU Commercial Marketing Directors (insight demand, validation, execution feedback)
    • Sales Operations – Mexico (GTM execution enablement)
    • Regional Marketing Analytics (standards, advanced analytics, scalability)
    • Enterprise Data / Analytics / AI (platforms, governance, AI roadmap)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Go-to-Market Strategy & Market Insights (Primary Focus)
  • Develop market, customer, and segment insights to support GTM redesign across Business Units.
  • Lead analyses on portfolio, franchise, and channel performance, identifying growth opportunities and GTM gaps.
  • Build a single, trusted fact base to support Corporate Marketing and country leadership GTM decisions.
  • Translate insights into clear recommendations and scenarios for senior leadership forums.

     2. Strategic Analytics Partner to Corporate & BU Marketing

  • Act as the analytics backbone for Corporate Marketing’s GTM and portfolio strategy.
  • Support BU Commercial Marketing teams with standardized, comparable insights while avoiding BU-specific bias.
  • Balance BU needs with country-level prioritization and enterprise consistency.
  • Enable faster, fact-based decision-making across the commercial organization.

     3. Commercial Execution Enablement (Partnership with Sales Operations)

  • Partner closely with Sales Operations to ensure GTM insights are operationally executable.
  • Support GTM deployment with:
    • Opportunity sizing
    • Scenario and sensitivity analysis
    • Early performance indicators
    • Participate in closed-loop GTM reviews, linking insights to execution outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Note: This role does not own CRM administration, territories, quotas, incentives, or sales processes. Ownership remains with Sales Operations to preserve analytical objectivity.

    4. Advanced BI, Automation & Analytics Evolution

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and analytical models for Corporate Marketing, BU leaders, and country leadership.
  • Lead automation and reporting standardization initiatives, significantly reducing manual and Excel-based reporting.
  • Define and rationalize the BI dashboard ecosystem, ensuring focus on measurable business value.
  • Leverage and evolve advanced capabilities in:
    • Power BI and/or Tableau
    • Salesforce (commercial logic, pipeline, forecasting)
    • Advanced Excel
    • Microsoft Copilot and enterprise digital tools

     5. Analytics Maturity, Data Governance & AI Enablement (Phase 2+)

  • Support data governance and responsible data usage in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Expand analytics from descriptive to augmented and predictive insights.
  • Partner with Enterprise teams to introduce AI-enabled analytics use cases responsibly.
  • Contribute to building a data-driven and insight-led culture across functions.

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Business, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Commercial Excellence, or similar roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, including data modeling and executive-level storytelling.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce, including commercial logic, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of SQL, applied statistics, or predictive analytics.
  • Solid understanding of commercial, financial, and operational KPIs.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong business communication skills and advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations with senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics or analytics maturity / digital transformation programs.

Success Profile (What “Good” Looks Like)

  • GTM redesign decisions are fact-based, faster, and aligned across BUs.
  • Corporate Marketing is enabled with trusted, scalable insights.
  • Sales Operations can execute GTM changes confidently and efficiently.
