Purpose

 

  • Supervises day to day warehouse activities to ensure smooth distribution of products and efficient utilizations of warehouse space and resources.  Maintains stock information, monitor daily material movement vs. inventory levels.

    In addition, he/she will support, monitor, and maintain finished goods inventory levels and system integrity.  This person will provide cross functional supply chain support and facilitate 3PL operation to meets customer needs and demands. This person will demonstrate analytical and decision-making skills; and can work with minimal direction

 

Responsibilities

 

  • 1)      Inventory traceability and accuracy.
     
    •    Contribute to the development of inventory plans
    •    Establish inventory targets.
    •    Monitor inventory performance to plan and targets
    •    Maintains database integrity.  Provides monthly statistics and reports on warehouse transactions and activities to management.

  • Ensures all the activities comply with ethical standards and the internal Quality Management System.
  • Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, procedure and quality system.
  • Ensures that performance objectives in the areas of shipping accuracy and cycle count accuracy meet outlined objectives.

  • Complete the mandatory Quality training subject to the defined timeline.  And ensure compliance with internal Quality system and policy.

    2)      Supply Chain and Logistics Execution
     
  • Supervise and oversee the 3PL operations.
  • •    Facilitate and manage cross department communications and initiatives. 

    •    Supervise the 3PL daily operational activities (receive, storage, pick, pack, and ship) and proactively identify and resolve issues.

    •    Work with commercial and sales groups to resolve issues and work to improve business process 

    •    Create and process documents required for export or import goods.  Answers internal and external customer inquiries on shipments.

    •    Share responsibility with planning and purchasing for the monitoring of the transit of goods with 3rd Party logistics services and sterilization services to ensure supply chain performance.

    •    Coordinate and assess transportation alternatives. Monitoring freight expenses for company, looking for alternative ways to control and lower costs

    •    Support new projects expanding the services offered by the distribution center

    •    Additional Responsibilities: Maintain operations books and metrics reports.
     
    3)      Achieve Performance Metrics
     
    •    Service Level/Backorder
    •    Logistics Cost
    •    Inventory Accuracy
    •    Finished Goods Scrap

Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines

 

  • Scope: Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of support and entry level professional employees. Monitors progress toward departmental goals; monitors costs of projects and human and material resources within a department or unit. Receives task-oriented work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies.
  • Supervision Received: Works under general supervision. Receives limited supervision on standard issues, and detailed instructions on new assignments. 

 

What we are looking for in you:

 

  • Required Qualifications:
     

    •    Bachelor’s degree required.  Supply Chain related major preferred or supply chain related work experience highly preferred.
    •    3+ years of related work experience in an inventory control function.

    •    3+ years of related work experience in a Logistics function (managing budgets and Freight spend)
    •    Strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    •    Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization
    •    Self-motivated independent worker
    •    Performs to a high level of accuracy in all tasks
    •    Highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures
    •    Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
    •    Detail oriented and organize
