ROLE PURPOSE

Lead the LATAM Logistics Function by driving regional process excellence, operational performance, and digital transformation across warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment. This professional will optimize 3PL and in-house logistics, localize global playbooks, and act as a regional SME in select logistics domains. A key focus includes continuous warehouse capacity monitoring, last-mile freight auditing, and international freight performance optimization to ensure resilience and service quality. The role also demands hands-on automation and data modeling skills, including the ability to develop custom logistics solutions using Python, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, and other emerging technologies. Additionally, this leader will serve as the primary liaison for logistics-related matters across the LATAM region, ensuring cross-functional alignment, stakeholder coordination, and consistent issue resolution.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Leadership & Global Alignment

  • Represent LATAM in global forums and contribute to the Logistics Playbook led by the CoE.
  • Localize and operationalize global logistics standards for the LATAM context.
  • Serve as regional SME in domains such as 3PL management, parcel freight, automation, and intake process.
  • Act as the key liaison across countries for logistics coordination, communication, and escalation resolution.

Operations Optimization & Risk Management

  • Coordinate and improve 3PL and in-house logistics performance through structured dashboards, SLAs, and analytics.
  • Lead efforts on distribution network risk management, business continuity planning, and cost-to-serve optimization.
  • Monitor and align international freight performance and warehouse capacity with business dynamics.

Process Digitization & Systems Leverage

  • Drive digitization through SAP, WMS, Power BI, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Python, and other tools.
  • Build customized analytics and reporting solutions to automate tasks, generate insights, and detect operational risks.
  • Champion the regional rollout and adoption of logistics digital platforms and AI-powered process enhancements.

Innovation Leadership & Deployment

  • Lead regional innovation pilots (e.g., last-mile freight auditing, Smart Routing) and track measurable outcomes.
  • Align innovation roadmaps with LATAM logistics pain points and business priorities.
  • Use Python, Power Automate, and Automation Anywhere to simulate logistics scenarios and trigger automations.

Capability Building & Community Leadership

  • Build a high-performing regional logistics function with a strong sense of community, transparency, and peer support.
  • Deliver training on logistics tools, KPIs, process automation, and systems usage.
  • Facilitate cross-country collaboration, benchmarking, and continuous functional improvement.

 

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 8+ years in logistics operations, 3PL/in-house management, and regional leadership
  • Skills: SAP/WMS, Power BI, Python, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, logistics analytics, and process automation tools
  • Languages: Fluent in English + Spanish or Portuguese
  • Preferred: MBA, APICS/Lean Six Sigma certification, experience in medtech or regulated industries 
  • Ability to design and deploy automated solutions using Python, Power Automate, and Automation Anywhere
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and serve as a regional liaison for logistics matters
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing capabilities at global, regional, and country levels

 

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Improved regional logistics KPIs: OTIF, freight cost/unit, warehouse throughput, delivery lead time
  • Deployment and adoption of the Global Logistics Playbook and innovation projects
  • Increased automation coverage and process efficiency using Python, Power Automate, and Automation Anywhere
  • High levels of satisfaction and responsiveness as regional liaison for logistics
  • Strong functional engagement, cross-country collaboration, and community growth
