Purpose Statement:

Manages and controls the Country Demand Planning and New Product Launch (NPL) Regional forecasting activities required to meet customer needs, business requirements, and service level objectives.  In addition, designs, monitors and maintains finished goods inventory levels and system integrity.

What we are looking for in you:

The candidate requires s comprehensive technical and/or functional knowledge in in supply chain planning and demand planning and forecasting.

When evaluating candidates for a senior Demand and Supply Planner role, consider their track record of success in demand forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and their ability to streamline supply chain processes to meet business goals efficiently. Additionally, assess their leadership potential and their capacity to contribute strategically to the organization's growth and competitiveness. Candidates should have experience resolving demand-supply mismatches, managing supply chain disruptions, and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and risks.

 

Experience with SIOP Process:

  • Candidates with a proven track record in leading or participating in the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Candidates should have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to develop integrated demand, supply, and inventory plans.
  • Candidates who have contributed to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the SIOP process, driving alignment between demand and supply functions, and achieving business objectives.

Demand Forecasting Expertise:

  • Extensive experience in demand forecasting methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Have demonstrated proficiency in statistical forecasting models, causal analysis, and market research techniques to generate accurate demand forecasts.
  • Experience analyzing demand drivers, including historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and customer insights, to inform forecasting decisions.
  • Emphasize the importance of forecast accuracy and its impact on inventory optimization, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
  • Track record of improving forecast accuracy through the implementation of advanced forecasting techniques, demand sensing technologies, and collaborative planning processes.
  • Candidates who have successfully measured and monitored forecast accuracy metrics, identified areas for improvement, and implemented corrective actions to enhance forecast performance.
  • Prioritize candidates who can effectively communicate demand forecasts, inventory plans, and supply requirements to ensure alignment and synchronization of supply chain activities.

 

Marketing Interaction:

  • Experience collaborating closely with marketing teams to understand promotional activities, product launches, and market trends that could impact demand and
  • Effectively translates marketing insights into actionable demand forecasts, supply chain strategies and into the SI&OP process.

 

Regulatory and Quality interaction:

  • Candidates should have basic understanding of regulatory requirements, such as COFEPRIS regulations for food and medical products.
  • Experience successfully managing supply chain disruptions related to regulatory changes and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Effectively collaborate with quality assurance teams to address issues related to product quality, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on customer satisfaction.

 

Career: Industrial Engineering, Biomedical engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical engineering

APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification

 

Experience Eight to 10 years of experience in process improvement preferably Supply Chain related and in medical devices or Pharma industry.

 

Based in Mexico City.
