About the role:
The Sales Manager role is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team to drive sustainable growth across a defined region in Colombia. This position plays a critical role in expanding patient access to innovative medical technologies by partnering closely with healthcare professionals and institutions. The role combines people leadership, strategic execution, and strong customer engagement in a highly regulated environment. This opportunity is ideal for a commercial leader motivated by impact, accountability, and long-term value creation within the healthcare system.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Lead, coach, and develop a sales team to consistently achieve and exceed revenue and market share objectives across the assigned region.
•Translate regional and national commercial strategies into clear territory plans, account priorities, and execution rhythms.
•Build strong, ethical relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, and key decision-makers to support appropriate product adoption.
•Drive disciplined sales execution through pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and performance reviews.
•Partner cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and operations teams to support launches, training, and customer solutions.
•Ensure full compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in every customer interaction.
•Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
•Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent while addressing performance gaps through structured coaching and feedback.
•Support tender processes and complex negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders when applicable.
•Travel regularly within the region to support customers and field teams (approximately 50–70%; overnight travel as required).
Required qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, health sciences, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
•7+ years of professional sales experience, including at least 3 years in a people-management role within healthcare or medical devices.
•Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets with strong forecasting and pipeline management discipline.
•Proven understanding of the Colombian healthcare environment, including hospital purchasing processes and key stakeholders.
•Experience leading, coaching, and performance-managing sales teams in a structured and ethical manner.
•Ability to engage credibly with clinical stakeholders and communicate product value effectively.
•Fluent Spanish and professional-level English; willingness to be based in Medellín and travel extensively within the region.
Preferred qualifications:
•Prior experience with a multinational medical device or healthcare technology company.
•Experience successfully launching new products or technologies in complex healthcare environments.
•Postgraduate education (MBA or equivalent).
•Exposure to pricing, profitability, or business planning responsibilities beyond pure sales execution.
•Established professional network within hospitals or healthcare institutions in Antioquia, Occidente, or Eje Cafetero regions.
•Experience supporting tenders, capital equipment sales, or large, multi-stakeholder deals.
•Strong proficiency with customer relationship management tools and data-driven sales management.
