The Principal Govt affairs will be a results-oriented advocate responsible for researching, analyzing, executing and advocating government affairs issues in Brazil.
- Develop strategies on regulatory and legislative issues impacting Boston Scientific and the medical device industry.
- Conduct research and analysis of trade, reimbursement, regulatory and general business environment issues of interest to BSC Brazil.
- Work with organizations of international focus, specific interest groups and other health related organizations to influence and monitor legislative and regulatory positions and priorities. Attend hearings and meetings on the Hill and with Agencies.
- Assist in development of international advocacy action plan that impacts Brazil matters.
- Be proactive strategically to identify trends and determine educational needs/opportunities.
- Work closely with Government Affairs staff and provide information, advice and perspective concerning government leadership, policies and activities.
- Serve as content expert for priority and provide quantitative and qualitative documentation for necessary lobbying efforts and legislative initiatives in BR.
- Develop and execute strategy for engagement with Members of Congress and staff on key trade issues.
- Engage in Advocacy related to bilateral and multi-lateral health and trade policy initiatives.
- Develop and execute communications strategy to keep internal BSC “customers” informed and active on issues impacting BSC.
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Fluent English and Fluent Spanish
- Based in Brasilia
- Bachelor's degree
- Solid background in Govt affairs strategies
