The marketing team is seeking a Field Education Specialist who resides in Romania to serve the North GEM Region of our Growth Emerging Markets. This field-based position requires excellent customer service and communication skills. The CEFS works directly with the local sales organization, product marketing, EMEA Customer Education, Physicians, Nurses and Fellows to execute and deliver the Peer to Peer educational engagements for all HCPs and channels in your geography. He or she plans, develops, and coordinates product training programs; obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Additionally, he or she conducts training sessions, develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities, continuously revises education plans to meet new training requirements, and keeps technical information up to date. The CEFS also manages the end-to-end experience of all aspects of the educational engagements including but not limited to logistics, on site model set up, and scope set up. This role reports to the GEM Training and Education Manager.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deep understanding Endoscopy procedures and how products are used in the field (both BSC and competitive products)
  • Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and physicians, nurses, etc.
  • Executing innovative, impactful education programs through a variety of mediums, and aligning faculty based on specific educational needs and overarching Endo strategy.
  • Ensuring consistency of quality between education programs with a mindset of continuous improvement with considerations around how to scale changes across the region
  • Supporting national and local trade shows both inside and outside of your geography, inclusive of running stations, model set up and break down, etc. 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners including: Sales, Sales training, Product Marketing, Market Development, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Digital Marketing & Communications, HEMA, to ensure alignment, support, and clear direction
  • Collecting voice of customer (HCP’s and sales partners) for key educational insights and then feeding that back to the marketing, education and other necessary stakeholders.
  • Participation in new program development with the aptitude to understand and implement the science of education and new concepts to enhance our training efforts
  • Synthesizing experiences and learnings to adapt strategies for key educational initiatives. Evaluate program impact, reassess objectives and outcomes, and plan for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional leadership; being viewed as subject matter expert (SME) for education and training best practices while working a highly matrixed environment
  • Ensure consistency in Boston Scientific branding guidelines.
  • Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders.
  • Define, track and maintain budgets while ensuring cost saving measures, understand implications on general business management.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibility and ensure compliance to governing agency guidelines.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
  • Willingness to relocate to a GEM hub if not already there.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, up to 70% travel with weekend engagements 1 to 2 times a month and regional travel in assigned Divisions as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Medical or scientific Degree
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience, preferably in endoscopy department
  • Experience with conducting training programs
  • Technical aptitude and ability to think strategically with appetite for innovation and continuous learning
  • Comfortable developing and maintaining relationships with physician customers and field reps
  • Strong program management and organization skills; detail-oriented
  • Team Player , strong communicator and collaborator
  • Flexibility and ability to travel
