Regional Quality Principal -  LATAM

 

Purpose and Responsibilities:

 

Purpose: provide Quality expertise to support the local/regional business objectives as well as provide guidance to employees to facilitate continuous quality improvement. 

Responsibilities: Maintains, advises and reports on compliance to Corporate Quality System, Regional and Local Requirements and Regulations as well as Quality Policies and Procedures to site Management Team and other employees; Monitors, identifies and reports on key Quality System indicators and takes appropriate action to address areas for improvement; Frequently interacts with and represents the quality function to certain BSC departments like Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, IT, Legal and others.

 

 Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines:

 

  • Knowledge: A seasoned, experienced professional with wide-ranging experience and expertise in a specialized field. Applies comprehensive knowledge of a particular field to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
  • Problem Solving: Develops solutions to diverse business problems of high complexity which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Planning and Organization: Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Initiates or maintains schedule for projects and project milestones.
  • Decision Making: Works without appreciable direction. Works independently on highly specialized projects with long range objectives. Develops departmental policies and procedures, new techniques and standards.
  • Business Relationships and Project Management: Interfaces with senior management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units. Provides leadership to projects.
  • Mentoring: Participates in the development of others by facilitating training and providing feedback and guidance. May manage direct reports.
     

 

What we are looking for:

  • Location: Argentina (please note that although the position is located in the system in Argentina, it can be located in any country in Latam; No relocation needed)
  •  Professional in Engineering, Life Sciences or related degrees.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance in Medical devices (preferably) including: knowledge of Industry regulations, Management of non-conformances and CAPA, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Must feel at ease working with remote teams.
  • May require international travel up to about 25% of the time.
  • Project management skills are required. Agile methodologies knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience with Capital Equipment, Field Inventory, Software Quality Assurance and Distribution and Product Controls processes is desirable.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • English Level: C1 or above (equivalent) required.
  • Fluency in Portuguese desirable.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Excel.
