This is a field-based role, Manager of Clinical Education I, working remotely.  Must live near a major airport west of Chicago. 
 
About the role:
The Clinical Education Department is seeking a Manager of Clinical Education who resides in the West Area of the United States. This is a customer-facing position that requires excellent customer service and communication skills. The Manager of Clinical Education works directly with Physicians, Fellows, APPs,  and cross functional partners such, Marketing, R&D, Surgical Lab Team, Engineering, Clinical Research, and Sales to create the strategy, vision and execution of educational engagements for HCPs about Spinal Cord Stimulation, Radio Frequency Ablation and future FDA approved therapies in Neuromodulation.  This position is a key stakeholder in the divisional commercial plan of action including but not limited to product and resource launches. The Manager of Clinical Education also manages logistical and compliance aspects of educational engagements. 
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with KOLs/Consultants and field reps to gather experience, knowledge, case studies and site visits 
  • Strategic partner with commercial plan for the area they support
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with healthcare professionals and internal cross functions
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to influence individuals and teams
  • Proven strengths in innovative ideas and approaches, strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and articulate complex clinical information
  • Speaker development, preparations, contract, agreement management and payments
  • Maintaining budgets for sales Area and each Region
  • Strategizing local programs and helping to align the faculty based on specific educational needs
  • Define topics, curriculum, develop agendas, content creation,  select presenters, select locations and program planning
  • Assist in advisory services including recommending KOLs
  • Understanding and enforcing HCP compliance, regulatory, educational grants and logistics 
  • Bring deliverables from marketing to the end user at all programs in relation to our plan of action (POA)
  • Partnering with Fellowship programs
  • Managing state of the art mobile simulator for the Area
  • Support national and local trade shows
  • Initiate, manage and lead several projects with cross functions

 

What we’re looking for in you:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 4+ years of related work experience in MedTech, Biotech, MedEd, pharma and/or experience in Education, Training, Sales or Marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to work flexible hours, up to 50% travel with weekend travel 1 to 2 times a month. Travel throughout the week visiting KOLs/consultants and observing cases in assigned sales Area and beyond
  • Must live close to major airport

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years in medical device strongly preferred, biotech or pharma and/or experiences in Education, Training, Sales or Marketing
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • KOL management
  • User of CVENT and Sales Force
  • Curriculum design
  • Adult learning strategies
  • Trained in emotional intelligence, situational leadership, crucial conversations and/or conflict management
