About the role:

The Downstream Product Manager is responsible for executing tactical plans focused on the HCP and the Vertiflex sales team.  This individual will develop a deep understanding of the Vertiflex product, the clinical data, the clinical indications, competitors and overall industry.  This individual will specifically focus on working with the Vertiflex sales team on competitive blunting strategies and develop materials and collateral for the sales team, physician and sales training.  The position will focus on heavy downstream marketing activities and interact with cross functional groups. 


Additionally, as a member of a high performing and collaborative team, this person should embrace a team-oriented approach.  Candidate must be a creative thinker, meet deadlines and create content and new materials.  Excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects is an integral part of the position.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, branding, and collateral to support innovative and high-impact launch of the Vertiflex procedure.
  • Create and execute on competitive blunting strategies working in collaboration with internal groups and Vertiflex sales team.
  • Partner with creative marketing and external vendors to conceptualize and develop high impact digital sales tools that integrate seamlessly into the sales process.
  • Develop strong relationships with physicians, the sales force, upstream product marketing, as well as R&D, Legal, Regulatory, and Clinical counterparts in order to build a deep understanding of how to create value in the Neuromodulation space.
  • Interface with the sales force and physicians consistently to create and disseminate best practices on selling Boston Scientific products. 
  • Develop and use metrics to gain an understanding of VF sales and report out monthly on marketing impact. 
  • Develop and execute tactics in accordance with VF strategy for the execution of high impact events, including tradeshows, symposia, and other physician educational events.
  • Create content and presentations for training materials, sales presentations and participate in training activities.



What we're looking for in you:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a medical-related industry in downstream marketing or sales with product launch experience
  • Experience with digital marketing a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen to physician/customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements and communicate them to cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and foster constructive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent and professional written and verbal skills
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Able to understand highly technical products and translate into a simple and clear value proposition that drive changes in customer behavior
  • Ability to handle the stresses of 15% or more travel schedule
  • Ability to be flexible in working extended schedules, including some weekends
