Responsibilities

  • Responsible for on time and right first time execution of process PMs and user calibrations; creation of calibration deviations as required
  • Performance Monitoring  of Automated Assembly machines. Identify deteriorating trends, investigate and action all scrap >1% and alarms <15 mins MTBF, any DT events over 10 mins (first responder to downtime events)
  • Manufacturing representative for Process Change Analysis – ensure all changes for lines within are of responsibility comply with Process Change Requirements
  • Manage consumbales KanBans; understands and stocks locally fast moving spares. System for monitoring local stock levels.
  • Responsible for liasing with calibration and production in order to schedule calibrations of process equipment in natural downtime windows with minimum impact to production
  • Creation of calibration documentation for any new pieces of calibrated equipment introduced to the production line
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance to relevant SOP's and GMP requirements.
  • Create and update knowledge share Engineering Technical Guides for sharing of best practices.
  • Provision of technical support and troubleshooting on automated controls, electrical equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Work within a team to commission and validate new and existing equipment including acceptance trials, setup, debugging etc.
  • Work in compliance with the site Safe Systems of Work including permitting, LOTO, isolations and safety documentation review.
  • Work Collaboratively with Operations, Quality, EHS and other departments.

Requirements

  • Completion of Mechanical/Electrical/Multiskilled Apprenticeship or NFQ Level 6 qualification.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, ideally within Medical Devices or a similar industry.
  • Ability to read electrical mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working on & maintaining Electrical and Mechanical equipment within a regulated industry.
  • Experience working within a change management system
  • Experience with SAP based Computerised Maintenance Management System and electronic Maintenance Request Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational ability.
