Purpose  :

Provides design support for the Endoscopy Product Portfolio manufactured in Ireland including but not limited to design updates related to compliance, product quality, supply chain remediation and manufacturing process support.  

Interfaces with local and global Design Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Process Development teams. 

Sustains and Develops products, materials, processes, for projects of moderate complexity.  

   

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Participates in and successfully contributes to projects including the following activities: product design and development, material testing, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, research investigations, report preparation, and process/test documentation.  

  • Maintains design history related technical notes (notebooks, protocols, validations, qualifications, manufacturing documents, etc.).  

  • Contributes to product or process improvement and problem-solving events.  

  • Work, with guidance, to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines within product development cycle. Execute design verification for assessment of design and process changes. 

  • Summarizes, analyses, and draws conclusions from test results. Create data driven technical, design validation and verification reports. 

  • Responsible for engineering documentation.  

  • Must be able to effectively work within a multidisciplinary and international organisation.  

  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.  

  

Qualifications:    

  • Hons BSc Degree in a relevant Technical Discipline, preferably Mechanical, Materials or Biomedical Engineering.   

  • 2+ years industry experience.   

  • R&D/technical experience preferably in the health care industry.   

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.   

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.   

  • SolidWorks and Minitab experience an advantage.
