Due to continued growth, we now have a new opportunity for a Senior R&D Manager to join our R&D Team.

What you can expect:

In this role, you will be directly involved in providing high level leadership and direction to an R&D team ensuring the implementation of strategic and tactical R&D activities supporting the next generation of Non-implantable devices. You will gain a deep understanding of our customers, markets, business, and competitors. Primarily, you will manage the technical engineering teams for our non-implantable products and provide functional leadership to teams working to complete exploratory research, feasibility, sustaining engineering, and other activities. You will work to develop teams and individuals aligned to business need and individual development goals. You will contribute to the vision for the next generation products, services, suppliers, processes, or other enabling advancements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent.
  • Coordinating design work with other internal and external sites.

  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.

  • Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.
  • Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s).

 

Management Requirements:

  • Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

 

Education and Experience:

  • Level 8 Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Software Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum 5-7 years demonstrated People and Technical Leadership within a comparable environment
