We are seeking a Cost Accountant I on a permanent basis to join our team.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Finance Manager this position is responsible for analysing management information and reporting on same
Key responsibilities:
- Provide information on key metrics for the site to support decision making and strategic planning
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for management on a timely basis.
- Preparation of monthly analytical review of monthly financial accounts.
- Preparation of the monthly, forecast and budget metrics for Direct Labour and the reporting of same.
- Reporting out on Volume, Absorption and other management accounting metrics.
- Monitoring and tracking variances on a monthly basis.
- Drive accountability within the business and improve information flow between Finance and our Business Partners.
- Assist in the implementation and development of Financial Systems.
- Business Partner providing finance support and knowledge to assist the business & functional leaders to meet and exceed the 9-Panel targets.
Education & Experience:
- Qualified accountant with ideally 2+ years’ experience (manufacturing experience preferable).
- Level 8 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Strong planning and organisational skills to ensure timely delivery on all commitments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail & ability to manage complexity.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues using analytical approach.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Microsoft Office proficient knowledge: Excel (intermediate - advanced), Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
- Strong communication skills.
