Talent Development Specialist

Purpose

The Talent Development Specialist I will focus on coordinating and supporting key talent development initiatives, with a primary emphasis on the Cork site but also contributing to broader talent management efforts across the Ireland region. This ro will support new hire induction, manage cohorts in the GROW program, and assist in the administration of the IDA Training Grant, while aligning with the regional talent management strategy.

 

Key Focus Areas 

  • New Hire Induction: Coordinate and support the new employee onboarding process for the Cork site, ensuring consistency in the experience while aligning with Ireland-wide talent management standards.
  • GROW Program Coordination: Provide support for the GROW program by managing logistical details, coordinating cohorts, and assisting in the planning and delivery of development activities.
  • IDA Training Grant Administration: Assist with the administration of the IDA Training Grant, ensuring compliance and effective use of resources in line with regional and site-specific goals.
  • Ireland Region Talent Management Initiatives: Collaborate with the regional Ireland Talent Management structure to support initiatives that enhance organizational development across multiple sites, with a focus on Cork but extending to the broader Ireland talent agenda.
  • Coordinate and provide support for early talent and leadership development strategies, ensuring alignment with regional business objectives.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of professional, technical, and compliance training needs through internal and external training providers.
  • Support the communication and promotion of learning and development initiatives, helping to engage employees and managers in Cork and the wider Ireland region.
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) for professional development, ensuring compliance with site and regional procedures.
  • Support the development of training content, collaborating with subject matter experts and external vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective learning solutions.
  • Maintain and update learning and development communication channels to drive participation in Ireland-wide initiatives, improving accessibility and engagement.
  • Manage and maintain training records, assist with audits, and provide data-driven insights to inform learning strategies and support business reviews.
  • Facilitate learning programs and contribute to the design and delivery of content tailored to the needs of the Cork site and Ireland region.
  • Collaborate with external training providers and stakeholders, exploring innovative development opportunities that align with the regional strategy.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8, 240 credits) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Learning & Development or related HR support role.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and proficient in My Learning or similar platforms.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills, with a demonstrated ability to work across sites.
  • Experience in working with regional or multi-site learning and development.
