About the role:
This role is responsible for providing technical engineering support to the Coventry Sterilization team and Global Sterility Assurance team that directly supports global sterilization operations for all BSC products. The team uses operational data to investigate signals and deviations in collaboration with other product teams including R&D, Design Assurance, Operations and Supplier Management. Key focus is on understanding and developing system specific improvements and increase efficiency in continuous improvement and problem solving with improved use of Engineering Essentials and Problem-Solving Analytics. Will identify, coordinate, and execute project priorities based on business and department objectives and at times at the Global BSC level. This role provides significant visibility across site and divisional leadership.
This role requires an onsite workmode from our Coventry, RI office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate a deep understanding of process functionality and failures and to perform in-depth root cause analysis.
- Acquire, analyze, and interpret information from data logs and various applications as part of Root Cause Analysis.
- Execute and provides support in investigation of CAPAs, NCEP, Failure Mode Investigations, etc
- Has the responsibility and authority to make decisions related to product quality, including the disposition of non-conforming product
- Work within cross-functional internal and external teams to investigate signals and deviations and provide solutions to resolve in a timely manner.
- Organize/lead cross-functional teams to analyze nonconformance trend data and drive updates to applicable risk management documentation as needed.
- Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Evaluates new equipment and processes and participates in the transfer of new processes.
- Continually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality.
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Knowledge and ability to use statistical methods such as trend analysis, pareto and other charting techniques.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong verbal, written communication skills, both technical and conversational.
- Decision making and negotiation skills, individually and within groups.
- Experience in managing multiple projects across multiple disciplines
- Experience in software programming languages.
