Business Analyst II - Global Reporting & Analytics

 

The Business Analyst II – Global Reporting & Analytics (GRA) will partner with Finance and/or other functions to deliver reporting and analytic insights that help drive informed business decisions. This role is expected to lead reporting & analytics projects, drive process improvements through standardization and process optimization using lean principles. The preferred candidate is an individual with strong analytical, communication, project management, process improvement and business partnership skills. The ideal candidate works best within a team environment, is a self-starter, is capable of handling multiple projects, and is committed to quickly delivering high-quality services and solutions within deadlines. This position will report into GBS Senior Manager – Global Reporting & Analytics.

The Global Reporting & Analytics (GRA) Team within GBS delivers innovative analytic solutions through collaboration with internal stakeholders to evaluate their defined business use cases.   GRA utilizes advanced data strategy tools to bring together structured and unstructured data to solve reporting and visualization needs of the business.  We are seeking an individual who will work with GRA management and the technical development team to further the advancement of intelligent automation to deliver incremental value to Boston Scientific.  This position will report into GBS Senior Manager – Global Reporting & Analytics.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Partner with IT, Finance and India GRA team to deliver Daily Sales Reporting including monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance, testing and data validation as well as project management for enhancements and issues
  • Support and facilitate monthly and annual global price impact analysis including updates to adjustment templates, communications as well as analyzing and summarizing results
  • Support the development and implementation of globally standard Financial Reporting & Analytics solutions
  • Ensure continuous delivery and maintenance of existing financial reporting solutions
  • Continuous focus on enhancements, process improvements and automation to optimize efficiency and accuracy across financial service offerings
  • Provide end user support, deliver training, and create and maintain process and technical documentation
  • Develop in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses of data
  • Translate business requirements into reporting solutions, analytic tools and dashboards to deliver actionable data to end users
  • Work with the GRA team and business stakeholders on the ongoing development and production of reporting and analytic solutions, with the goals of:
    • Driving real-time knowledge and decision-making
    • Streamlining existing reporting tools in use
    • Strategically automating dashboards and increasing functionalities

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Undergraduate Finance and/or Business degree
  • 2-4 years working experience in a reporting or business analyst capacity
  • Proven analysis, innovation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, SQL or Alteryx are a plus
  • Strong financial acumen and business interaction/presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Financial systems like SAP and/or Hyperion applications are a plus
  • Demonstrated coordination / project management skills, analytical and organization
  • Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal skills, and team oriented
  • Detail oriented, critical thinker, organized and self-starter
  • Must be a quick learner and able to assertively engage with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines
  • Global Experience; exposure to regional and business unit management teams
  • Languages:  Fluent in English, additional language skills a plus
