About the role:
Coordinate all activities related to the Metrologic Confirmation System of all measuring instruments of the Boston Scientific Costa Rica site.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and improve de Boston Scientific´s Metrologic Confirmation System; plan and program calibrations of measurements; look for and maintain calibration service providers and that they meet requirements established in Standard17025; improve technical competitiveness of the laboratory regarding personnel, infrastructure, and operation, in compliance with national or international regulations; review and approve calibration documentation and/or calibration forms.
- Perform calibrations, develop new calibration procedures, and provide all the metrological support to other areas of the company (such as production, quality, transfers, validations) in the use, care, interpretation, and purchase of measuring instruments; contribute to the creation of the Quality Department´s budget according to the Metrology Laboratory needs; support other areas as needed.
- To be in charge of the technical staff, ensuring that they comply with the calibration plan, as well as the compliance of the internal metrics of the laboratory, as well as being in charge of the improvement projects and purchase of standards.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's in electronic, biotechnology, electromechanical engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in calibrations as an engineer.
- Problem solving, networking. Management and calibration activities magnitudes of pressure, temperature, force, and time dimensional mainly equipment.
- Extensive experience in calibration laboratories or as a manager of a department of metrology.
- 1 year or more in current position.
- English Level: 75%
