About the Role:

Supports the execution of the Suppliers Quality Program in Costa Rica site.Works cross-functionally to supports new products development,  acting as the primary representative for global sourcing  activities in new products development projects. Assures New Products materials supplier activities are timely accomplish to  launched from the site according to Contract Goals.Leads initiatives, influence, coordinate, and drive for the daily support of materials  products, and supplier manufacturing processes, feasibility projects  in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).This individual must have demonstrated strong leadership capabilities, an excellent ability to communicate at many levels and an ability to quickly and effectively form strong cross-functional working relationships.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
  • Consistently generates innovative and unique solutions to meet global sourcing  organization goals.
  • Successfully completes complex engineering work and contributes to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: technology development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, Six Sigma, raw material process study , improvements, and report preparation.
  • Selects process improvement techniques to solve complex problems and make sound equipment and process recommendations.
  • Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results.
  • Designs and prepares complex reports and communicates results to the technical community.
  • Designs and coordinates complex engineering tests and experiments.
  • Coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.
  • Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, materials and process.
  • Leads cross-functional feasibility project teams.
  • Work closely with global sourcing organization to efficiently select, qualify, and manage all levels of suppliers to consistently meet product quality, service and cost requirements.
  • Work closely with R&D department to develop materials test methods.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Degree in Materials, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Biomedical, Chemistry, Industrial, Electrical or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar position.
  • English Level desired: 80% - 89%.
  • Desired knowledge: Transfer Process, MiniTab, Hands & Statisctics,  Validation Process, Tools (Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaisen, Six Sigma).
