About the role:

This is a key role for the Global Supplier QA organization providing strategic direction and leadership in improving product quality, service, and cost across Boston Scientific LATAM manufacturing facilities. The leader will be responsible for a highly motivated Supplier Quality team that supports the Costa Rica based manufacturing sites and corresponding divisions. This leader is part of a global team and has a regional focus across all manufacturing in Costa Rica. The Supplier QA Director leads a team of QA Managers & Engineers to ensure full compliance to all Global Medical Device regulations. This role reports into the Vice President, Supplier Quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide supplier quality leadership and direction to team/organization and ensures the Quality Management System meets the various requirements of material controls regulatory requirements.
• Build & maintain strong partnerships with the Global Sourcing and Supplier Engineering teams.
• Build & maintain strong relationships with Divisional, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Corporate teams
• Be recognized as an excellent team player across the organization.
• Demonstrated commitment to developing people in a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
• Recognized as an expert in mentoring and coaching individual and team performance while visibly demonstrating the core values of BSC in his/her everyday leadership style.

• Key leadership role in communications with regulators; audit facing.

What we are looking for in you:

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline
• 10+ years of related work experience in the Medical Device industry
• A minimum of 10 years people management experience
• Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills
• Up to 20% Domestic and International Travel

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in managing matrix’d teams
• Experience in Manufacturing, Supplier, Design & Quality Systems roles
• Financial experience, budget planning & management
• Experience managing high impact product performance: field issues, complaints, and field actions
