About the Role: 

The Senior Business Systems Analyst role within Cardiovascular IT at Boston Scientific analyzes, specifies, designs, documents, tests and delivers digital capabilities and Information System process solutions to support ongoing Boston Scientific clinical trials, product launches and acquisitions. The Analyst position will be part of the Digital Solutions team and the selected candidate will use their industry knowledge and technical skills to advance automation, business process simplification and self-service helping Boston Scientific improve customer preference, market position and patient outcomes.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:  

  • Works closely with Research & Development, Product Marketing and Clinical teams to support strategic business initiatives as an I.T. partner.
  • Defines and re-engineers business systems or information technology processes by using appropriate methods and tools and partnering with business process subject matter-experts and product owners to understand requirements.
  • Utilizes information systems to improve efficiency and makes recommendations for implementation of new systems or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and company requirements.
  • Guides implementation of enterprise and system level architectures and systems by creating and communicating well-written documentation and presentations.
  • Assures quality of business systems by developing and executing test specifications, and implementing test and quality plans, while working with quality assurance analysts to improve IT quality processes.
  • Works closely with the development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution according to the specifications and implementation of business needs.
  • Creates and provides quality training material for user assistance and system usage.
  • Resolves issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions.
  • Manages process improvement projects by applying basic project management methodology and leveraging Boston Scientific’s ‘VIP’ framework and tools to define and quantify value.
  • May lead multiple project activities simultaneously as needed to support various product launches over BSC’s strategic plan period, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.
  • Establishes and cultivates a wide range of business relationships to facilitate completion of assignments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
  • Elicit and gather detailed requirements on in-scope business systems.
  • Analysis and documentation of end-to-end information flow across multiple related systems.
  • Preparing summaries of analysis and discussing results with internal customers
  • Document complex information in a way that is understood by business stakeholders.
  • To be able to present key findings and messages to both a technical and business audience.
  • Maintain and foster a collaborative relationship with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Expand awareness of available data assets and how data can be used to support business needs.
  • Maintain high standards for data quality, reporting, and timely project execution.
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

 

What we are looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a focus on information technology or related discipline strongly preferred.
  • 5- 7+ years of progressive I.T. work experience in the healthcare industry with the medical device industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills including proficiency in querying, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • English level required: At least C1.

 

Technical Skills

  • An ability to understand process flows and information management practices.
  • Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience creating data flow diagrams (Visio or Miro)
  • Experience interpreting data models, schemas, and E-R diagrams (Must)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with medical device manufacturing business process and terminology is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum methodology.
  • Previous project experience in and use of Atlassian solutions like Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/Xray.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI or similar applications.
  • Cloud platform experience (Salesforce, AWS, Adobe Experience Manager, SAP).
  • Experience on Microservices/API Management.
