Purpose Statement 

Develops and implements training programs and tools to support in-house and external Product Education. Support employees/customers by providing clear and concise information to deliver the appropriate level of clinical and technical understanding.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, researches, and develops Structural Heart Valve training program and materials to maximize impact by determining the target audience, time and location requirements and other applicable factors
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
  • Remains aware of all changes that may impact training requirements by seeking out information that may change the clinical process and implementing changes/improvements to training approach and materials accordingly
  • Works with the Management to ensure that post-training results meet organizational targets and expectations by collecting and analyzing post-training dataFollow closely with metrics to ensure consistent global internal and physician training
  • Assumes expertise role in Structural Heart Valve Training by using technical knowledge to support existing technology and new technologies

 

Postion Scope and Guidelines:

 

Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree required - medical education/physician training experience, cardiovascular and/or structural heart preferred
  • Proven experience in the medical industry (clinical, scientific affairs, medical affairs, medical education, product management, product development, R&D, medical sales, or field clinical engineer)
  • General knowledge and application of technical and business concepts, procedures, and practices. Interprets company policies and procedures to resolve issues. Beginning knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication – English is mandatory

  • Applies professional concepts, company policies and procedures
  • Analyzes data or situations, and exercises judgment to recommend solutions to solve problems
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be obtained

 

Planning and Organization 

  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution
  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule with guidance from manager. Must have the ability to manage simultaneous priorities and resource management
  • Willingness to travel approx. 85%

 

Discretion / Latitude; Supervision Received; Decision Making 

  • Receives general supervision and makes recommendations which may be reviewed by manager
  • May exercise authority within limits
  • May seek guidance in resolving problems

 

Business Relationships and Project Management 

  • Begins establishing and cultivating internal business relationships to facilitate completion of tasks
  • Ability to build rapport with key physicians and medical leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable cross function and cross franchise success
  • Ability to translate voice of customer and market dynamics into the organization – related to training and education
