About the role: 

The Global Business Services team is looking for a manager as part of the APAC Financial Services organization.  This is an exciting opportunity to work on a global team focused on standardized and streamlined reporting and processes, drive value improvement through data analysis and technology enablement. 

This position will report to the Director of GBS Financial Services and include a high degree of collaboration with different GBS teams and stakeholders.

This is an onsite position (in office minimum four days per week) with location in Dalian China.  

This role for the first 6~9 months will be rotated to hands on the daily service operation in ATR (Account To Report)  and PTP (Procurement to Payment) team to deeply understand E2E process, controls and systems.

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Identify value improvement opportunities to streamline & improve Finance Service E2E processes including better use of leveraging technology, automation and simplification  
  • Transform Finance service towards industrial excellence through business/process data analysis and provide business cases to support value propositions    
  • Lead data analysis to ensure control & compliance effectiveness in Financial Services/Business
  • Being APAC Finance Service VIP Champion and responsible for VIP Dashboard analysis
  • Being owner of share folders (GBS China Finance Service Team) and ensure access control in place.
  • Lead intake process for new finance service requests and ensure alignment across process improvement roadmap and team priorities
  • Coordinate service/Business Continuity plan and on boarding plan for Dalian Site 
  • Work with Regional Finance Steward and Global Process Lead on global/regional initiatives  
  • Support Finance Services leadership with Annual Planning, forecasting and Strategies as needed
  • Identify opportunities for synergy and best practice sharing across Global Financial organization (EMEA, US, APAC)
  • Lead special projects as required including governance and change management
  • Ad-hoc support on daily operation, control testing, audit etc. when is required per business needs

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis & planning or Finance process Transformation
  • Good skills in SAP (S4HANA is a plus), Excel, plus Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
  • Fluent English (written and verbal), Japanese/Korea is a plus
  • CPA or equivalent accounting certificate is a plus
  • Audit firm experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive process improvements, and support change management principles
  • Demonstrated end-to-end process thinking with the ability to drive global process harmonization
  • Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes
  • Comfort with ambiguity; skilled at problem-solving to meet internal customers’ needs; proven ability to work through roadblocks; demonstrated critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven
  • Continuous Improvement mindset, including evaluation of current offerings with an eye towards future enhancements, expanded scope, and new capabilities
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop and maintain relationships on all levels within a global organization; ability to communicate how and why decisions were made to various stakeholder groups
