Field Marketing Specialist

At Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, you’ll have the opportunity to improve people’s lives by driving tactical Marketing programs with key accounts and supporting a Sales region. Specifically, Field Marketing Specialists will educate, train, and support Regional Business Managers and Clinical Specialists on Marketing programs. Major focus of this work will be to interface with referral physicians, pain physicians, surgeons, the Sales team, and patients.  Success is defined as achieving key metrics of success for each program.

Key Rsponsibilities

  • Drive Patient and Physician field marketing programs
  • Create a liaison role between Field Marketing Manager and Regional Sales teams
  • Ensure the region engages in the most up-to-date Neuromodulation products, tools, program delivery with physicians and patients
  • Obtain input and provide feedback to Marketing on requirements and improvement opportunities from external customers
  • Understand and share competitive intelligence with Marketing and Sales Management
  • Maintain up-to-date rep spreadsheets and other records as determined by Regional Business Manager (Sales Force Log report)
  • Prepare and submit call reports by deadline WAR (weekly activity report) as required
  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows


Minimum Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ work experience in a sales and/or clinical role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Medical device sales and/or clinical education experience;

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Biology, Kinesiology or other science field;  

Experience as Physical Therapy Assistant, RN, Chiropractor Assistant, Radiologic Tech or Surgical Tech or similar




  • Analytical skills with an emphasis in market analysis
  • Business acumen (tactical plans for accounts, understanding business drivers of medical accounts)
  • Use of influence skills in situations without authority
  • Strong verbal, written, and training communication skills, including the ability to listen to customer needs
  • Professional and emotional intelligence, insight, maturity and judgment
  • Critical feedback/ coaching and development skills with peers, physicians and others
  • Self-motivation with an understanding of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial environments
  • Exceptional command of leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated previous work experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Foster constructive relationships with internal and external customers.



  • Must have the ability to handle the stresses of 25% travel schedule in a local or regional geography. There will be very few overnights in this role. Ability to independently manage a travel schedule.  Ability to be flexible in working extended schedules, including some weekends.

  • INTERNAL CONTACTS:  All levels of Sales, Management staff, department heads, Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, Human Resources, QA, Regulatory and Clinical staff.


  • Customers: Sales, Clinicians (Referring Physicians, Implanting Physicians), Patients, etc.
