The ideal candidate will reside in Texas and will be expected to travel regularly to the surrounding areas.
About the role:
In the Rhythm Solutions Area Vice President role, you will define and lead the development of strategic plans to drive revenue growth within a designated geographic area. You will provide input on sales objectives for existing and new products by forecasting and establishing annual sales quotas for the region. You will be responsible for the successful execution of the sales plan and strategic growth priorities, as well as the coaching and development of the regional management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in annual division sales forecast sessions and contributing to the determination of market potential and sales expense estimates.
- Identifying sales forecast gaps, submitting corrective strategies, and implementing aggressive growth plans.
- Developing and implementing customer segmentation strategies within the area.
- Identifying and developing working relationships with key clinical and economic decision-makers within the area’s accounts, including physicians and hospital system administrators.
- Providing direction and decision-making support for contract negotiations involving all products within the area, in partnership with marketing, corporate accounts and other divisional stakeholders.
- Providing direction and support to sales and marketing staff in activities such as sales promotions, training, market research and the execution of special projects.
- Planning and controlling expenses to ensure sales objectives are achieved within budget.
- Providing real-time feedback from the field on company and competitor products to key internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Educating the sales leadership team and internal management on industry trends, competitor activity and product updates.
- Making decisions and providing direction to sales support and marketing staff regarding product launches, clinical trials, training initiatives and special projects.
- Spending a minimum of 50% of time in the field with each regional manager to support professional development and maintain strong relationships with local team members and external customers.
- Serving as a strong liaison to Product Management to support new product commercialization plans.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key Boston Scientific functional areas, including National Accounts, marketing, finance, corporate programs and regulatory affairs.
- Leading a team in the achievement of organizational goals by guiding, coaching, directing and developing direct reports, and driving those leadership practices throughout the organization.

- Directing and controlling the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects, programs and/or operations, as applicable.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive medical device sales experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in people leadership and sales management.
- Progressive experience guiding, coaching, directing and developing direct reports while driving leadership practices throughout the organization.
- Must be willing to travel up to 60%.
Preferred qualifications:
- Medical device sales experience in cardiology or the cardiovascular space.
- Strong business acumen, relationship management and organizational leadership skills.
- Strategic, analytical, accountable and results-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated record of success or overachievement in prior sales roles.
- Proven ability to foster a diverse workplace that enables all employees to contribute to their full potential.
- Experience managing the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects, programs and/or operations.

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $140,000.00, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
