Senior Regional Security Manager - EMEA

 

The Senior Regional Security Manager EMEA’s role is an exciting new opportunity to join a growing team in leading the delivery of security risk management expertise and specialist security advice to all relevant divisions and sub regions, to ensure security is properly implemented in accordance with BSC requirements in EMEA.

You will be accountable for the delivery of security risk management services of the highest quality, ensuring that risks to company personnel, assets, operations, integrity and reputation within the region are identified, evaluated and managed in a timely manner. This role will specifically support our Growth Emerging Markets (GEM) region, reporting to the EMEA Regional Security Director.

 

What You’ll be Doing

 

  • Implement, coordinate, and manage physical security operations, projects, procedures and governance across the region.
  • Design, implement and manage a travel security risk management program to serve BSC needs. Conduct risk assessments of travel itineraries, deliver pre-deployment and post-travel briefings, monitor travelers, and provide on-call assistance if needed.
  • Respond to and support Incident Management Teams during an incident or event that affects BSC employees and/or assets. Closely collaborate with the regional and local Emergency and Incident Management teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support intelligence gathering and analysis, with capability to generate actionable, timely and relevant insights for regional leadership.
  • Conduct security reviews at BSC locations and advise and support the business in fulfilling its responsibilities. Continuously evaluate control effectiveness and propose improvements based on threat and risk assessments.
  • Promote a strong security culture by educating employees and raising awareness across the EMEA region through targeted training and communications initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments for corporate events and co-ordinate on-site security measures to ensure the safety of participants and assets. Travel may be required to provide on-site support as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership across local, regional and cross-regional levels. Foster external networks with corporate security peers, service providers, law enforcement, and other security-related entities.

 

Essential Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a security field with responsibility for security for multiple business units across a region. Demonstrable evidence of operating in higher risk areas in the EMEA region is required.
  • Previous leadership in security risk management working in a multinational organization.
  • A university degree, preferably in criminology, criminal justice, international relations or political science is required. A master's degree is desirable.
  • Extensive experience developing and executing programs in areas including security operations, event security, travel security, intelligence, investigations, crisis-, emergency-, and incident management.
  • Exceptional knowledge of the geopolitical and strategic risk environment across the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
  • Highly proficient in the intelligence cycle and producing intelligence reports for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven knowledge of physical security strategy and implementing physical security practices and technical security measures including access control, CCTV, and management/monitoring systems.
  • Experience in leading investigations into security incidents, collaborating with local law enforcement and third party vendors as necessary.
  • Strong network of professional and public sector relationships.  Certifications such as CPP, PSP or CTM are a plus. Membership of professional security bodies, such as ASIS, OSAC, ATAP are desirable.
  • Willing to travel %25 of the time within the region
  • English proficiency required, multi-lingual would be an asset.
