You are a driven health economics or market access professional with a deep understanding of the German healthcare system. You thrive in a fast-paced, innovative MedTech environment where your analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking have real clinical and commercial impact. At Boston Scientific, we’re looking for a Health Economics & Market Access Specialist to join our Rhythm Management division (Cardiac Rhythm Management & Electrophysiology) in Düsseldorf, contributing to the success of cutting-edge technologies such as our groundbreaking FARAPULSE™ PFA System.
In this hybrid role, you’ll work at the intersection of healthcare economics, strategy, and clinical innovation - shaping and securing market access for therapies that truly improve patients’ lives.
Your role
As part of the DACH Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) team, you will help develop and implement the market access strategy for the Rhythm Management portfolio in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This includes established therapies and new technologies currently entering the market.
You’ll focus on securing optimal reimbursement, ensuring our solutions are properly coded, covered, and funded across the region. To do this, you’ll analyze funding pathways, evaluate policy and payment system changes, and translate them into actionable strategies that support clinical adoption and commercial success.
Your work will involve engaging with key external stakeholders such as payers, policymakers, hospital decision-makers, and KOLs. Internally, you’ll collaborate closely with sales, marketing, clinical, and regulatory teams. You’ll also support the development of health economic models and value communication tools tailored to local market needs, as well as provide training on reimbursement topics for commercial teams.
Data analysis, including DRG coding and health policy research, is part of your daily work, along with monitoring policy developments to anticipate risks or opportunities. You will represent the HEMA function at regional and international meetings and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that shape business strategy.
About you
You’re a natural communicator who can translate complex economic and policy concepts into practical business recommendations. You enjoy building relationships whether with internal teams or external stakeholders and you bring a structured, analytical mindset to everything you do.
What you bring to the table:
- A degree in health economics, public health, life sciences, or a related field (a postgraduate qualification is a plus).
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience in market access, health economics, or reimbursement, ideally in the MedTech sector, though pharma backgrounds will be considered.
- Strong understanding of the German healthcare and reimbursement system (experience with Austria and Switzerland is a plus).
- Excellent data analysis skills, with experience in DRG coding, funding research, or policy monitoring.
- Fluent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to present confidently and write clearly for professional audiences.
- Comfortable with occasional travel (approx. 20%) within the DACH region.
Experience in an international matrixed organization will serve you well in this role.
Why join us?

- A meaningful mission: improving lives through cutting-edge medical technologies.
- A collaborative, high-performing culture that values initiative and diversity.
- Opportunities to grow whether deepening your HEMA expertise or exploring cross-functional or international career paths.
