About the role:
As a Project Manager (Non-Technical) at Boston Scientific, you’ll lead cross-functional Customer Care projects that align with strategic priorities, including integrating new business acquisitions. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and team performance to ensure high-quality outcomes. You’ll partner with key stakeholders across the organization to resolve challenges, support continuous improvement, and drive operational excellence within a global matrixed environment.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver projects aligned with Customer Care strategy, operating independently under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets; estimate scope, effort, and resource needs.
- Lead execution and track milestones while providing regular updates through reports, dashboards, and meetings.
- Escalate issues, remove barriers, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor and analyze team data and workflows to inform project decisions.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and constraints; ensure deliverables meet compliance and quality standards.
- Maintain focus on patient safety and product quality throughout project lifecycle.
- Define and manage training needs; coordinate translation of training materials.
- Support lessons learned reviews, gate reviews, and oversee functional trainers.
- Engage stakeholders through timely, clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
- Lead project teams without direct authority; mentor junior colleagues.
- Apply sound business judgment and industry best practices to resolve complex issues.
- Balance multiple priorities, risks, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in project management tools and practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements; support ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in project management within a matrix organization.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with autonomy.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience within the medical device, healthcare, or regulated industry.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
