Location: Southern Netherlands 
Salary: €70,000 - €105,000 (including 25% commission, depending on experience) 

 

The medical devices world is not completely new for you – ideally you already gained some experience for example as a (junior) account manager, field clinical specialist of sales representative. At Boston Scientific, we are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our Urology team in the Southern Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals or those at the beginning of their career to make an impact while helping improve patient outcomes in a dynamic and evolving field. 

 

Your role:
As an Account Manager Urology, you’ll play a vital role in managing hospital accounts in the Southern part of the Netherlands. You’ll work closely with customers, including urologists, OR-nurse specialists, department managers, and biomedical engineers, to deliver excellent service and ensure the success of Boston Scientific’s Urology portfolio. You’ll be at the forefront of new product introductions, and your daily efforts will drive market growth in this evolving healthcare space. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Sales and customer satisfaction: Take ownership of sales for Boston Scientific’s Urology portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction and continued business growth within your assigned hospital accounts. 
  • Relationship building: Develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and stakeholders in the Urology field to understand their needs and ensure the successful use of our products. 
  • Account management: Create, implement, and track account plans for your assigned accounts, contributing to the strategic business plan with detailed market insights, competitive trends, and opportunities for growth. 
  • Collaboration and communication: Maintain ongoing communication with both existing and prospective customers, supporting product availability, technical assistance, and inventory management. 
  • Market intelligence: Stay up-to-date on Urology industry trends and competitor activities, offering insights that help shape Boston Scientific’s approach in the market. 
  • Clinical and technical support: Provide hands-on support for urological procedures and ensure clinical requirements are met to secure long-term use of Boston Scientific solutions. 
  • Marketing and educational activities: Participate in and lead marketing-driven educational initiatives, strengthening relationships and fostering product adoption through effective events and training. 

 

About you:
We’re looking for someone proactive and eager to grow in the Urology field. Urology experience is a strong preference, but we also welcome candidates with experience in other medical fields (ideally in medical devices). If you come from outside the medical world, a minimum of B2B sales experience is required. 
You have a natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships that create lasting value. 
 

  • Experience: Some experience in sales, account management, or a healthcare-related field (ideally in Urology or MedTech) is preferred. 
  • Education: A higher vocational (HBO) level education in a relevant field such as healthcare, life sciences, or similar. 
  • Skills: You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English. You are comfortable in a hospital setting and can confidently navigate discussions with healthcare professionals. 
  • Mindset: You are commercially driven, enjoy building relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. 
  • Teamwork: You’re a collaborative team player who enjoys working with others to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
