We are seeking an Associate Project Manager on a permanent basis to join our team. 

 

Job Purpose:

This Project Manager will lead projects in the Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies (ICVT) business unit and play an integral role in helping to meet strategic objectives. Primary responsibilities include leading a cadence of sustaining projects on commercialized single use devices – across functions, business units and manufacturing sites. The scope and size of sustaining projects will vary and can include all project activities from initial kickoff through implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites and manage projects ranging from small to large in scope, including schedules, scope, costs and resources. Projects may include material replacements, cost-reduction initiatives, geographic expansion, quality issue resolution and standards compliance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans encompassing cost, schedule, risk and performance, and monitor progress against key business objectives and goals.
  • Drive prioritization and execution of the sustaining project portfolio in partnership with functional managers and the leadership team.
  • Lead diverse and geographically dispersed project teams toward overall project goals, provide input to functional managers regarding team and individual performance, and develop strong relationships with functional leaders.
  • Manage technical challenges associated with technology applications and identify, communicate and manage moderate to high levels of technical risk.
  • Manage key project processes, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing activities.
  • Build team ownership of and commitment to project plans while mentoring and coaching functional and project managers as appropriate.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies to support successful execution.
  • Lead teams in completing activities in accordance with current policies and practices while identifying process improvements that may benefit multiple projects.
  • Lead team and cross-functional communications and serve as a liaison between project teams and franchise leadership.
  • Maintain project meeting minutes, issue logs, metrics and other key project communications.
  • Communicate cross-functional issues clearly and influence stakeholders to drive timely resolution.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Level 8 Hons Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, actively listen and encourage the open exchange of ideas and perspectives.
  • Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders without direct authority and build support through strategic relationships and persuasive communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across project teams, functions and stakeholder groups to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong planning and execution skills, including the ability to develop comprehensive project plans, prioritize initiatives, establish accountability and monitor progress against objectives.
