We are seeking a Project Manager I/II (Magellan Deployment) on a defined term basis (15 months) to join our team.

 

Job Purpose:

The Magellan Project Manager is responsible for developing and managing project plans to ensure seamless execution of Magellan D4 Deployment at the Galway site.  The PM will manage risks and support key decisions while collaborating closely with the internal Business  and external stakeholders including Regional counterparts, the Penang site (as part of D4) and the Magellan Program team. This role will represent the Galway site and work very closely with the site lead to outline and achieve project milestones and deliverables.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and develops the execution of the plan with the cross functional team.
  • Communications and Reviews: working closely with the site lead is responsible for team and cross-functional communications; scheduling phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
  • Develop strong relationships with key leaders on-site, extended team members and the Program and Sister site teams.
  • Support resource planning and critical decision making to ensure the project remains on track.
  • Provides advice, assistance and direction to project teams and functional management, when required to assist with problem recognition, review, and resolution.
  • Responsible for risk management and issue resolution when problems occur.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Level 8 Honors Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of related professional experience required with ideally 3+ years at Manager level in Operations (Production, Engineering, Quality) or Project Management.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with team members across the globe.
  • Proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and response to a fast-changing environment.
  • Previous experience with larger scale projects, either as project lead or team member is advantageous.
  • Strong organization, execution and communication skills will be required, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead and work together with a cross functional team.
  • Candidate must be confident presenting to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
