We are seeking a R&D Engineer III on a permanent basis to join our team.
Job Purpose:
Supports projects of moderate complexity, under limited supervision/guidance, compiles, analyses, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, and materials. Creates and maintains design-related technical notes (notebooks, protocols, validations, qualifications, manufacturing documents, etc.) building a complete design history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides design support for the Axios RP Program including but not limited to design updates related to the supply chain remediation and manufacturing process insourcing.
- Creates the design change assessments and design validation or verification documentation and manage and implement design changes.
- Interfaces with Operations, Process Development, R&D, MTS, AEEG or Equipment Engineer and vendors.
- Communicates changes in project milestones and writes project reports as required.
- Interfaces with Marketing, Operations, Quality Assurance, vendors and possibly physicians.
- Must be able to provide technical guidance within a large team and be an effective communicator within a multidisciplinary and international organisation.
- Applies the Technical Development Process (TDP) and Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies.
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.
- Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems.
Education & Experience:
- Level 8 Honors Bachelor Degree in a relevant Technical Discipline, preferably Mechanical, Polymer, Materials or Biomedical Engineering.
- 4 + years industry experience strong technical experience preferably in the medical device industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven leadership abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates should have a proven track record of working in a fast paced environment with strong technical capabilities and be capable of handling multiple development aspects of assigned projects.
