We are seeking a Senior Project Manager II on a permanent basis to join our team.

 

 

Job Purpose:
This is a key leadership role within the Interventional Cardiology (IC) and Vascular Therapies (VT) franchises. As Senior Project Manager, you will lead and coach a team of Sustaining Project Managers based in Galway. You will ensure alignment with divisional goals, drive successful project execution, and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Galway-based IC/VT Sustaining Project Managers, ensuring strong alignment with divisional strategy and performance expectations.
  • Deliver high-impact people management—supporting development, coaching performance, and enabling team members to meet their career goals.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment on project risks, progress, and outcomes with senior leadership.
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships across teams and functions to drive collaborative project execution and timely resolution of cross-functional issues.
  • Model excellent collaboration and create a strong team dynamic across project teams, internal stakeholders, and cross-site colleagues.
  • Drive accountability and execution by assigning clear authority, aligning efforts across teams, and monitoring progress against business objectives.
  • Lead courageously in the face of uncertainty—bringing optimism, clarity, and resilience to your team.

 

Education & Experience:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Level 8 Honors Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Project Management
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in project or program management
  • Demonstrated experience in product transfers or new product launches
  • Familiarity with Lean tools and core project management methodologies
  • Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across divisions
  • Hybrid work model: minimum of 3 days per week on-site in Galway

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the medical device or other regulated industries
  • Master’s degree in a related field is desirable
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ people management experience
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate core functional processes
  • Track record of leading with clarity and decisiveness in dynamic environments
  • Customer-centric approach to project execution with awareness of business trends
