Due to continued expansion of our operations, we are seeking applications from a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Financial Analyst (12-month defined term). 

 

Role Purpose:

This role is to be a key member of the External funding & R&D Finance Support on site. You will reporting directly to the R&D Finance Manager for External Funding and R&D and will suit an individual with strong analytical & system skills. This position will suit a qualified accountant with ~3+ year’s post qualified experience who is keen to broaden their experience. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Month End & Management Reporting

    • Support the R&D Finance Manager  to close the monthly results for the New Project Development Group on site.  This includes analysing & booking relevant transactions, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting & audit support at quarter end.  Ensure full compliance with Corporate Policy & GAAP for all areas of responsibility.  Troubleshoot month end process & identify areas for improvement.

  • R&D Tax Credits & Grants

    • Support the annual R&D Tax Credit claim process & grant claim process ensuring full compliance with Revenue guidelines & grant agreements. 

  • R&D/Divisional  Business Support

    • Provide financial support to the local R&D Team and also work closely with Finance Partners in the Divisions

  • Projects – Supporting various Projects throughout the year (Magellan, local CI Projects & Tri-Site Initiatives)

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (level 8) in Accounting, Business Studies or related field required

  • Must be a fully qualified accountant

  • Ideally 3-4 years post qualified experience

  • Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mind-set

  • Proactive self-starter with strong communication & time management skills

  • Expert level excel skills are essential

  • Ability to work in a Project Manager type role when approaching certain bodies of work
