About the role

As part of an HR Operations Support Center, the HR Operations Service Delivery – Benefits Specialist plays a pivotal role in the administration and continuous improvement of core benefits services. This role is the subject matter expert (SME) in benefits-related service delivery, including but not limited to 401(k) administration, leave of absence (LOA) management, and other specialty benefits programs. The specialist will serve as an escalation point, liaise between the broader Service Delivery team, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and third-party vendors, and ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient service aligned with global and regional HR processes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary benefits SME for the HR Operations Support Center.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of benefits administration services such as 401(k) programs, LOA management, and other benefit-related offerings.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated HR inquiries related to benefits, in coordination with internal stakeholders, such as HR Service Delivery and COE, and external vendors.
  • Ensure services are executed in compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with COEs, HRBPs, and third-party vendors to monitor service delivery performance, track SLAs/KPIs, and drive operational governance.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective action plans for recurring or systemic service delivery issues.
  • Collaborate with internal process leads and vendors to optimize processes, support standardization, and ensure documentation (e.g., SOPs) is accurate and up to date.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and provide knowledge transfer to other team members to ensure operational continuity and scalability.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects, including audits, compliance reviews, and process reengineering.
  • Support training development and delivery related to HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors) and service improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers and ensure employee experience and satisfaction with HR services remain high.

 

Required Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

·         5+  years of HR experience, with a strong focus on benefits administration (401(k), LOA, etc.).

·         Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, service-oriented environment, preferably within a shared services or support center model.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work across teams and cultures.

·         Proficient in HR technologies, with experience in SuccessFactors and ServiceNow preferred.

·         High attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

·         Familiarity with quality systems, compliance standards, and governance in an HR setting. 

·         English level Desire C1 80%-90%

Activity Ownership

  • 401(k) Administration Services:
    • 401(k) process – in partnership with GBS Payroll, facilitate the full end-to-end US and Puerto Rico on cycle and off cycle payroll file review and delivery for the administration of the 401(k) plan and program, including to identify and remedy data discrepancies and file kick-outs/errors, and maintenance of ongoing funding log.
    • 401(k) audits – ownership of or in partnership with GBS Payroll, conduct various audits between SuccessFactors, ECP and Vanguard. Audits to include: Non-Discrimination Testing Audit (full ownership); E&Y audit (full ownership); 401(k) quarterly audit (in partnership with GBS Payroll); 401(k) YTD match contribution audit (in partnership with GBS Payroll)

 

  • Leave of Absence Administration Services:
    • LOA monitoring & error remedying – monitoring of leave vendor (i.e., Sedgwick; The Hartford) error logs – in partnership with BSC LOA Team. Entry of leave of absence data/leave code entry into SuccessFactors, when escalated from BSC LOA Team
    • LOA audits – frequent monitoring of leave populations to validate appropriate leave types are reflected in both SuccessFactors and vendor systems
    • Military Leave tracking – management of spreadsheet to track long-term military leaves for ongoing communications and benefits-related actions
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Complex reporting requests in support of the Total Rewards COE and Service Delivery, particularly when relying upon a combination of data sources (i.e., ECP, SuccessFactors, Benefitfocus, etc.)
    • Direct point-of-contact for BF Support team to assist with SF data updates, SF data/reporting, investigations, etc.
    • Conversion of Maven Wallet approvals to Payroll spreadsheet and submittal to Payroll
  • ESPP Activities: general support for stock administration services
  • Global Mobility Activities: general support for global mobility services
    • Support Cigna enrollment for global mobility population by interfacing with Aires, employees, Cigna and Benefit focus.
