About the role:

Responsible for providing Electrical Test Systems leadership and expertise in the definition, design, development, validation, and sustainment of electrical test systems used in manufacturing and inspection processes. Serves as the regional subject matter expert (SME) for electrical test technologies supporting multiple manufacturing sites in Costa Rica. Partners closely with process development, quality, production, manufacturing engineering, and equipment engineering to ensure test systems are robust, compliant, scalable, and aligned with business and technology roadmaps.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, validates, and sustains electrical test systems, including hardware, software, instrumentation, and data acquisition solutions, using approved tools, analysis techniques, and engineering practices.
• Provides expert-level technical leadership for electrical test methodologies supporting in-process inspection, functional testing, and manufacturing verification.
• Partners with Process Development and Operations (Quality, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment Engineering) to define test requirements and ensure alignment with product, process, and regulatory needs.
• Serves as the regional SME for electrical test systems, providing consultation, troubleshooting support, and technical direction across multiple sites.
• Supports and executes the regional electrical test technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with regional and global Boston Scientific strategies.
• Analyzes, evaluates, and verifies test requirements, circuits, systems, and measurement methods to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and reliability.
• Solves complex engineering problems by analyzing test failures, systemic issues, and measurement variation, recommending corrective or alternative actions.
• Investigates, researches, and selects electrical components, test platforms, tools, and vendors to support current and future manufacturing needs.
• Documents electrical test development activities by preparing technical documentation, reports, validation protocols, change requests, and design records in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
• Tracks development and sustainment activities using approved project and tracking management tools.
• Leads or contributes to cross-functional and cross-site technical projects with moderate to high complexity, risk, and business impact.
• Mentors and develop engineers, supporting their progression from entry-level through practitioner to subject matter expert in electrical test technologies.
• Collaborates with global electrical test and manufacturing networks to benchmark best practices and drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in: Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical, Mechatronic.
• English Level desired: B2-C1+
• Experience: 7+ years.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Desired knowledge: Medical Devices Industry, Software, Electrical Test Systems, Sustaining.
