About the Role

Provide support to the Quality Department in the areas of Complaints, Incoming Inspection, Quality Release, and Quality Assurance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain inspection plans and material acceptance methods within applicable quality systems.
  • Manage activities related to the Approved Materials List (AML) and Approved Vendor List (AVL), ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information.
  • Provide support during supplier audits, including evidence collection, action tracking, and coordination of related activities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and update of Boston Scientific’s Critical Supplier List, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) activities across Boston Scientific manufacturing sites and distribution centers to ensure alignment and effective execution of processes.
  • Participate in alignment meetings and cross-functional forums as required, providing technical support and follow-up on assigned commitments.
  • Coordinate and perform project and product testing.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and communicate results to teams.
  • Develop and qualify data sheets; assist in the development, execution, qualification, and documentation of equipment/fixtures, visual standards, and test methods.
  • Perform testing, collect data, verify, and report product test and process monitoring results, including comparing results against acceptance criteria and control limits.
  • Initiate, investigate, and assist in the generation and closure of NCEPs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve quality issues identified through metrics.
  • Assist with product failure analysis.
  • Support engineers in failure analysis and CAPA activities, including assignment as a CAPA project team member.
  • Support process and product qualification activities.
  • Define training requirements for test methods and work instructions.
  • Identify and lead departmental initiatives related to quality best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Serve in support roles during external audits, including document retriever and auditee.
  • Perform special quality initiatives under guidance.

 

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in related roles.
  • High School Diploma completed.
  • Technical degree in Quality, Production, or Logistics, or, currently pursuing a related university degree with at least 50% completion.
  • English proficiency level: +B2
  • Availability to work on Shift A (Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) at the Heredia plant.

 

Preferred Technical Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
