About the role

 

Responsible for the design, development, integration, and sustainment of software solutions supporting manufacturing equipment and operations used in the production of medical devices. This role contributes directly to Boston Scientific’s digital transformation by developing scalable applications that connect manufacturing equipment, data systems, and visualization tools to enable smarter, more efficient processes.

Works independently or as part of cross-functional teams including equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, data, and operations, to define requirements, develop solutions, and support deployment of manufacturing software systems. Applies strong software engineering fundamentals while ensuring compliance with Quality System and regulatory requirements.

 

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, tests, and sustains manufacturing and equipment-related software applications using current programming languages, tools, and methodologies.
  • Develops efficient, scalable manufacturing applications that integrate with production equipment and operational systems.
  • Collaborates closely with internal customers to define system requirements and propose creative, cost-effective solutions for new and upgraded equipment.
  • Authors detailed functional and technical design documentation in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
  • Contributes to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, unit testing, integration, release, quality assurance, and validation support.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains relational databases, including data modeling, SQL development, optimization, monitoring, and script authoring.
  • Develops software that interfaces with manufacturing equipment and control systems, supporting data acquisition, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Integrates software solutions with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Ensures software solutions are delivered within planned schedules, managing scope and priorities as needed.
  • Proactively drives innovation and adoption of new technologies to improve software development strategies and manufacturing capability.
  • Builds quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with Quality System, regulatory, and documentation requirements.
  • Documents software development activities by preparing technical documents, reports, and change requests.
  • Participates in cross-functional engineering initiatives and supports continuous improvement efforts.

 

 

What we are Looking For:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Administration, Engineering or related field
  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Desire Experience in the Medical Device Industry
  • C1+  English Level
