About the role:
The Heredia Quality Engineer-P4 will join a team of experienced Post Market Surveillance (PMS) engineers within the Electrophysiology (EP) Quality organization, with primary responsibility for the execution of Post Market Surveillance Plans (PMSP), Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSUR), and Market Experience Reports (MER).
Additionally, this role will provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, development, and support of the team, helping create an environment where people feel connected, motivated, and empowered to do their best work. The engineer will serve as a key partner across functions, working closely with Clinical Evaluation & Risk Management (CERM), Regulatory, R&D, and Design Quality Assurance to strengthen product quality, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Based in Heredia, Costa Rica, this position plays an important role in supporting a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture while contributing to global quality priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Author and approve PMS documentation to remain compliant to PMS cadence.
· Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and people-centered team environment where individuals feel valued, engaged, and encouraged to grow.
· Through management guidance, provide clear direction, coaching and support to help the team execute quality deliverables with excellence and consistency.
· Drive quality-related projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and applicable regulatory requirements.
· Partner effectively with cross-functional teams to build strong working relationships and support shared objectives.
· Monitor compliance with BSC policies, procedures, and quality requirements, ensuring the team has the resources needed to be successful.
· Collaborate with manager on staffing, priorities, and workload distribution to support business needs and maintain team effectiveness.
· Support talent development and recruitment efforts to continue building a strong and capable CIS team.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and open communication.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
· 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Product Quality, or a related field
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
· Solid interpersonal skills for building dynamic relationships and fostering a positive, engaging team environment
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively across functions and navigate a global, collaborative environment
Preferred Skills:
· Familiarity with BSC Post Market Surveillance documentation, including PMSP, PSUR, and MER
· Previous mentoring experience
· Knowledge of quality systems and regulations within the medical device industry
· Familiarity with Electrophysiology products
· Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
