Senior IT Sourcing Specialist – Costa Rica

About the role:

As part of the Indirect Sourcing organization, the Senior IT Sourcing Specialist develops and implements sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage for the Global IT category, while managing critical activities to reduce costs without compromising quality.  The specialist will build and leverage relationships between suppliers and BSC sites, divisions and regional sourcing teams, and partner with IT key stakeholders to achieve organizational and functional goals.
 

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Negotiating new IT agreements in support of key sourcing areas
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting
• Manage supplier performance, relationships, and continuous improvement programs
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers to achieve annual cost savings and value contribution targets
• Creating and issuing RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to potential suppliers and managing IT projects
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the sourcing function
   

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 3 years of sourcing experience
• Experience with end-to-end sourcing process, negotiations and contract management
• Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. SAP and Ariba) 

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in IT Sourcing (i.e. software, hardware and services)
• Professional certification in Sourcing or Procurement
• Results-driven with effective negotiation skills and ability to meet target goals and objectives 
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels (written and verbal) 
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
