About the role:
Coordinate timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment, thus the optimum condition of equipment is guaranteed. Oversee the technicians group assigned to his/her area; provide coordination, resources and training for a proper development of Maintenance´s functionality. Promote the development of personnel under his/her supervision and facilitate an environment of respect, accountability and team work.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Under minimum supervision, coordinate and facilitate all aspects related to the optimum technical and productive performance of equipment.
- Assure maintenance management is done through complete adherence to regulatory aspects. This includes but is not limited to guaranteeing timely execution of preventive maintenance activities, aspects related to documentation, regulatory audits, trainings, etc.
- Oversee equipment maintenance indicators under his/her supervision (down time, failure root cause, spare part consumption, tools inventory, etc.).
- Assist the Process Engineer on aspects related to process improvement, complaint response, and material rejects (MRB) that may be related to area equipment.
- Coordinate with the Materials area the timely purchase of maintenance spare parts and supplies; and oversee the optimum inventory of such supplies.
- Oversee the proper monitoring of Safety procedures, including MSDS filing and posting for chemicals used in the area.
- Follow established Quality System procedures.
- Use necessary safety equipment and make sure of its use by personnel under his/her supervision.
- Audit preventive maintenance performed on Production Area equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance activities during Shut Downs of the productive areas under his/her supervision.
- Oversee the group of technicians assigned to be under his/her supervision.
- Execute disciplinary actions as required.
- Oversee the development of personnel under his/her supervision, under an environment of respect, accountability and team work.
- Process punch marks in the Kronos System for personnel under his/her supervision, as well as solving situations that emerge from this process.
- Identify and manage VIPs in his/her area and function.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Promote and/or support waste reduction initiatives, as well as spare parts reduction initiatives in order to optimize their use.
- Pursue and/or engage in potential improvements or changes to enhance equipment use.
- Oversee the good use and condition of tools, as well as equipment.
- Support the transfer process of processes, equipment, products, etc.
- Keep work areas, as well as the workshop, organized and cleaned at all times.
- Support EHS Management.
- Educate and promote World-Class practices.
- Engage in inter-departmental work groups.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor or Licenciature degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Electrical Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years
- English Level desired: 70%.
- Basic Knowledge in processes
- Desired knowledge: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PL’s
