Supplier Quality – Manager (M3

About the Role:

 

Provide day-to-day management of Supplier Quality personnel which results in the implementation and execution of functional objectives, vision and mission.  Drive the resolution of supplier quality events, preventive quality initiatives and execution of supplier quality deliverables. Support and influence the material subcategory quality strategic objectives and drive the implementation of strategic functional objectives into the site strategies.    

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources
  • Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Provides direction and guidance to exempt engineers/specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. 
  • May supervise non-exempt employees.Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
  • Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.
  • Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s).
  • Identifies, develops and implements processes to improve department performance.
  • Monitors departments activities and records to ensure compliance independent action through critical decision making.
  • Provides manufacturing support by defining work assignments directed to address supplier defects, minimize quality, compliance, service and cost impact and implement process improvements utilizing Quality System and business tools.
  • Escalates issues to Category teams for resolution and guidance and promotes / coordinate appropriate functional support and prioritization to address business needs.  

 

What We’re Looking For: 

 

  •  Licenciature degree in Industrial, Materials, Mechanical, Electronic, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • English Level: C1 (90% -94%)
  • .Desired knowledge: Problem Solving, Negotiation, Project Management skills, Lead Auditor, ASQ certification (CQE, CRE, SSGB, SSBB)
  • (Strongly desired, knowledge of QSRs)
  • 7+ years of overall experience in Medical Device industry
  • Prior experience in Supplier Management and People Management positions
  • Prior experience in Supplier Quality is preferable
