The HR Information Technology function at BSC is seeking a customer-centric and technically skilled solution architect. This person will be focused on evaluating HR business needs across the enterprise, assessing products and capabilities to meet those needs, and helping to deliver and support solutions that enable business strategies and objectives.

Partnering with our HRIT team members and their stakeholders, the person in this role will iterate on and oversee the HRIT technology strategy, roadmap, and solutions that meet stakeholders’ needs. This role Provides architectural direction for business processes and technologies for their area of responsibility within the IT organization in accordance with Enterprise Architecture guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promotes and supports the principles and standards of Enterprise Architecture.
  • Adheres to documented architectural processes and procedures.
  • Recognizes architectural problem areas and determine ways to effectively resolve them.
  • Develops solutions to technical problems by challenging traditional technical assumptions.
  • Guides technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met.
  • Applies multiple technical solutions to enable future-state business capabilities that drive targeted business outcomes.
  • Identifies innovative uses of Information Systems to provide a competitive advantage for BSC.
  • Architecturally consults and supports regional or divisional projects and initiatives.
  • Implements recommended architecture changes throughout area of responsibility.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with work in an architecture field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience of delivering value in architecture roles, ideally at organizations with complex matrixed structures and functions
  • 6+ years of experience building and deploying platforms or solutions in support of business strategies and objectives
  • Strategic Thinker – Can see what the business needs and anticipate what’s next, matching this vision to technology investments today.
  • Business Acumen – ability to understand the needs of the business, translating them into investment decisions
  • Communication – Provides rationale and engages customers. Adept at creating and visualizing a technology strategy
  • Influence – Able to gain buy-in from HR leaders and stakeholders in support of the strategic direction
  • Collaboration – At ease working across a global matrix organization, effective at developing close working partnerships. Enjoys working closely with a team.
  • Technology Expert – Deep experience with HCM/HR systems.  Knowledge of the technology industry. BSC uses Success Factors as its HCM so experience in this software is a distinct advantage.  Experience using AI, machine learning and other emerging technologies is also an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to network externally and stay abreast of industry trends and technology advancements within the HR arena
  • Experience and subject matter expertise with SuccessFactors and its data structure is strongly preferred
